Kite Ghana

Our project partner in Ghana is the IHM Orden

 IHM stands for:

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Christ

The order was founded in 1937 by Dr. Charles Heerey, then Archbishop of Onitasha, Nigeria.

His goal was to advance the situation of African girls through Christian teachings and school education.

The IHM Order is active in the areas of education, health care and pastoral care. It has operated in Ghana since 1976.

IHM sisters work in German cities of Munich, Freiburg and Cologne, and the town of Schliersee.

The Kite Association of Supporters works with Sr. Mary George Boakye-Danquah, the Regional Superior for Ghana, and the IHM convent in Offinso.
